Sombre

This is a collaboration between cellist Emily Burridge and pianist Guy Jackson. Some tracks are left as the duo originally composed them while others have had orchestration and string arrangements added with themes developed. In working together their compositions generally originate from free improvisation sessions in which they allow their instruments to ponder and converse. Sombre, shows off a dark, brooding and emotionally moving approach to writing and offers a window on their extensive catalogue of works.
